Eid Ul Fitr 2015 Part 2-Finish

Hello everyone!

So this is the picture of Ketupat and Lepet. Making and eating ketupat (kupat) and lepet are one of Javanese muslims' culture.

My uncle

Ketupat dan Lepet

My grandma is the best at making ketupat and lepet.
Ketupat and lepet are made of young coconut leaves but with different ingredients. Inside of ketupat is cooked-rice while lepet is filled by green bean, ketan and shredded coconut. They are all steamed.

Eid Ul Fitr 2015 Part 1

Hello everyone, i'm back! It's been a long time and finally i write again, yeah!

Sempet tanya diri sendiri sih kalau orang-orang hari rayanya sama gak yah. Sampe di rumah eyang, maaf-maafan sama paman (aku manggilnya pak po) sama bude dan tentunya eyang. Setelah itu... Menyantap sajian makanan khas setahun sekali yg dimasak budeku. Ada sate, gule daging kacang ijo, sayur manisa+telur puyuh, lontong dan semur ikan bandeng. Beuh..lezat mantaaap!! Tapi, sayangnya gaada dokumentasinya guys hehe maaf ya...insha Allah tahun depan deh, Aamiin.

Nih foto ngasih makan ikan koi

Gimanaa seru kan ya? Liat guys ikan koinya lahap banget kalo makan hehe.

4 cowok 1 cewek cantik, tapi pas mewek ngga mau difoto haha.

*fast forward* H+2 Lebaran 2015

Gimana guys, seru banget kan cerita Lebaran Eid 2015-ku. Keep update for my next Eid Fitr 2015 stories.

How to Hand-feeding Your Koi Fish (Fingers Therapy)

Hello everyone! Lately, i've been teaching my koi fishes to get the food by approaching to my hands. I've found many people feel a little bit hard for feeding their kois come close to hands. Well me, i tried to make my kois diet at first. Previously at my pond, there are 9 big koi fishes. But now it added about 13 baby koi fishes. I can say their behavior is different as baby kois are in better class. Before, I fed them three times a day with large hand grip. Then, I read some references and got enlightenment.

Don't give too much food to your kois. Don't worry about they feel hungry or lack of food. Basically, inside your fish pond some algae and mosses exist. I feed my kois only twice a day, in the morning time and night time before i go to sleep. So now, before feeding them i always put my fingers into water, play with them and they'll approach.

Like this is how i feed my lovely koi fishes:

Hand-feeding koi fishes is exciting!

Hope it can inspire you.

The 4th Asia Cup Young Koi Show

Hello everyone! I know it's not Wednesday but let me tell you my great story of this week in English.

Well, yesterday May 2nd, 2015 my parents and me went to 4th Asia Cup Young Koi Show at Surabaya Supermal Convention Center (SSCC). It's still about koi fishes everyone haha. Like i've told you my parents and me love having koi fishes. As true koi lovers, we pleasured to visit it. It lasts for three days only, May 1st-3rd 2015. The show is joined by 400 participants around Asia such as Singapore, Thailand, Malaysia and Indonesia. But, koi's clubs local are dominating. The judges are from Japan, Malaysia, Vietnam and Indonesia.

To be honest, it was my first time to visit koi fishes show and I couldn't be happier about it. Here's me:

Photo taken by my mom

Lovely, isn't it? Haha. The hall is so big and large. When we came in, the judgement was already started. The owners had to measure their fishes by themselves. But, if the judges see there's the size of the fish is suspicious so they measure it.

Judgment
I was mesmerized by the blue big tube thing. It's the fish temporary pond. It uses for the show only.

We also saw big and high quality koi fishes there. But, i didn't take any single photo of it sorry. I once asked to one of the owners of koi farms, "How much are these Kohaku?" Then he said, "Well, these three packages are already booked. Each of it 5 millions rupiah." "Hmm...very great!" I only could say that haha. What a fish! Each package consists of three Kohaku (variety of koi fish) with size 33-35 cm. Basically, all koi fishes over there are sold nearly millions rupiah. But you are guaranteed by the high quality. Koi fishes which are shown over there include in superb class.

So, that's all peeps. Spread the love <3

Having Koi Fish Can Bring Us Luck (?)

Hello everybody! Sorry about late posting. Today i'd like to tell you about one of my hobbies. It's having pets. Basically, my family loves animals. I have some birds at home. A mated pair of straw-headed bulbul (Cucakrawa in Indonesian) and Magpie Robin (Kacer in Indonesian), four canary birds, two orange-headed thrushes (punglor bata in Indonesian), and a baby Chesnut-capped Thrush (punglor kembang/anis kembang in Indonesian).

baby Chestnut-capped Thrush
Beside those birds, i have some koi fishes or Nishikigoi in Japanese. Nishikigoi or koi fish is a group of fish that are kept for decorative purpose and pet in pond. Its varieties are distinguished by coloring, patterning and scalation. The major colors are red, white and black.

Koi fishes are classified into eleven varieties but i only explain six of them:

1. Gosanke
Gosanke classsification is the most popular and most wanted among koi fans. Kohaku, Sanke and Showa are included in it.

2. Bekko
Koi bekko is a koi that doesn't have red stripe along its body, except Aka bekko. The basic colors are white and few black spots.

3. Utsurimono
Koi utsurimono is koi that has black color as basic with additional color.

4. Asagi.
Asagi koi has a unique color. It's pale blue color tends to grey as salted eggs with red stripe below.

5. Tancho
Tancho is koi with solitary red patch on its head. The fish maybe Tancho Showa, Tancho Kujaku, Tancho Goromo or even Tancho Goshiki. It's one of my favorite koi varieties.

6. Hikarimono
It's any koi with metallic color or shiny golden color. There are Nezu Ogon, Yamabuki Ogon, Platinum Ogon and Orenji Ogon.

Koi Fish pond at home

Short story: On April last year, i told my dad to construct a fish pond. Its size 2m x 1m x 50 cm. Two months later it finished. Afterward, we bought many koi fishes. Sadly, some of our koi fishes were dead because of a disease and the pond wasn't mature yet (according to references that i had read). So, we've lost about more than twenty five fishes. But then, we bought some koi fishes again haha. Now, we have nine big koi fishes at pond. Its size 30-40 cm up. We have shiro bekko, showa, yamabuki ogon, koromo and etc.

Here's the video:

I classify koi's classes into three: super class (champions), medium class and market class. Koi fishes in my pond include in market class. Nevertheless, I love seeing at them. I love koi because it has beautiful colors and patterns.

Having Koi fishes can bring you luck? Some say, yes. Believe it or not. Placing a water-filled pond and Koi fish body color patterns are believed to bring a good luck to the owner or even where the fish pond was constructed/ placed.
Well me, be positive thinking. Give suggestions to your mind that it can bring you "luck" whether you wanna make a business from it or just keep it.

I'm a newbie half-death koi lover. There are so many koi varieties I have to study. I'm also pioneering a Koi fish business with my dad. But i have to study more with all koi masters. Wish us luck!

Here are baby koi fishes. We've been learning to quarantine them for five days.

Pengalaman di UISI (Universitas Internasional Semen Indonesia)

Oke, mungkin semua orang belum tahu tentang UISI.

Well, tbh aku orang Gresik asli lho! Yaa mungkin sudah jalan-Nya disyukuri saja ya, to?

Ayo-ayo buruan daftar. Bisa cek webnya di sini: http://uisi.ac.id/. Sekian terima kasih.

"UISI" (unggUl berInovaSI)
